Building Your Following? Facebook Is Still The G.O.A.T

Facebook is still the king of publishing content, and I will prove it to you. Today I want to focus on why Facebook needs to be the hub of everything you’re doing with content creation and building a following. The first and foremost reason Facebook is still the hub is that it’s the most advanced platform. In the past few years, Facebook’s notoriety has decreased a bit. Their overall user count is not growing as fast as it used to because of competition from platforms like TikTok and YouTube. But the reality is that more people are using Facebook than any other platform in the world, and it’s the best platform for building your following.

As we’ve talked about previously, the number one way to be focused on building a following in today’s world is by using video. It all started because of the turf war that Facebook and Google got into almost a decade ago. Google bought YouTube and started changing the technology to turn it into the search platform that it is today. When Facebook saw that, they knew that they would have to start favoring video to create and maintain dominance in the market.

Because Facebook has such a robust ad platform, they knew they could do things that Google couldn’t. And that’s what I want to show you guys today. I call it the Ultimate Audience Protocol. Facebook wants you to spend money with them and boost your videos. If you go into your Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook will allow you to build an audience you show your videos. If you look at my account, I’ve got an audience that I show all my videos, and there are 38,000 people in this audience. But what’s important is they’re all coaches and consultants because that’s who I’ve found are most likely to want to write books.

You can use Ads Manager and build an audience based on your ideal client or the type of people that are most likely to buy your products or services. Once I have that audience built and call it Video View Feeder Audience, I show them my videos. I take one of the videos from my page that is doing well, and I run it as an ad with a link to my webinar. You want to keep this audience big to give Facebook many people to show your video to.

Next, you want to see how many users have qualified in Facebook’s eyes through plays. This means they have watched at least 15 seconds of the video. Facebook’s research has shown that people who watch at least 15 seconds of a video are likely to watch the whole video. They even break it down further to see how many watch 25%, 50%, 75%, etc., of your video. The most important part about this is that you can build an audience of through plays, which I call the Ultimate Audience. I’ll keep showing videos to this audience and change them every week. Once that through plays audience gets to 10,000+, I’ll run my ads to that audience, and they spend money. My through-play audience is people who really like my content. They enjoy listening to me and accept me as an expert in selling books and publishing books, which is my goal.

These are the most successful campaigns that I’m running because it’s people who already know me, like me, and trust me. They’re watching my videos all the time, so they’re more likely to buy when I sell to them. And that’s the reason why you need to use Facebook as the centerpiece of this. It’s the biggest platform. There are more people on Facebook than anywhere else. It’s also the easiest platform to use your publishing strategy and run video views ads to get people to watch your videos. Once you do that and get to more than 10,000 through plays, you can run the ads that you’re using to build your income, your webinar, your online product, or whatever it is. If you want more information about this, check out my masterclass. It’s a video presentation that shows you the entire process of building a following of millions of people online.

If you are trying to build a following, you really need to use Facebook as the center of your publishing efforts. It’s the Hub!

Now, it is definitely not the most popular platform today. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram & YouTube have passed “Meta” in terms of engagement but Facebook is still the biggest and has the best tools.

I will lay out how to use videos to build a following and sell your products and services to people who like your videos.
